2023 Doris Lovrine Memorial Sled Dog Race

Race #1 of the Trailblazer's Triple Crown!

Feb. 11 & 12, 2023 (SAT & SUN)

Location:  Gleason, WI

RACE PURSE: $4,000 (minimum)

+ Partially sponsored by the Merrill Chamber of Commerce & Lyons Veterinary Clinic

            10-dog & 8-dog sled -- 40%

            6-dog sled -- 30%

            4-dog sled -- 20%

            2-dog sled -- 10%

            Skijor -- $150

++ All Classes ISDRA Sanctioned (except Sport Skijor classes)

++ All classes run under ISDRA rules

Mandatory Drivers Meeting:  Saturday 9 am

Races Start: 10 am on BOTH Saturday & Sunday

Offering:  10-Dog/8-Dog (9 miles), 6-Dog (5.9 miles), 4-Dog (4.1 miles), 2-Dog Adult (2 miles), 2 & 3-Dog Juniors (2 miles -- 2-Dog / 4.1 miles -- 3-Dog), 1 & 2-Dog Skijor (4.1 miles -- Pro / 2 miles -- Sport)

* Pro Class, Northern Registered Breed, Sportsman / Novice Groupings available in most classes *

WI Trailblazer (WTB) Membership REQUIRED to Participate 

*EXEMPT:  Jr Class participants / Unless Competing for WTB's Club Champsionship Award

ISDRA Sanctioned Event

Not an International Sled Dog Racing Assoc. Member?  An addtional $6 per class fee applies*. 

ISDRA Membership Form available at www.ISDRA.org.

*NOTE:  Jr Class participants need not be ISDRA members unless racing for ISDRA points

*Sport Skijor is not an ISDRA Sanctioned Class - EXEMPT from ISDRA fee

Registered Breed Teams must be prepared to present registration papers for particpating dogs to race officials.

Snubline Starts:  10, 8, 6, 4, 3-dog Jr. 

* 5 teams will be randomly selected to review rabies certificate *

Explanation of Race Entry Fees:  Race fee includes a $15 timing fee, $4 ISDRA "User Fee" paid to ISDRA, $1 Donation to the race site's local Animal Shelter / Humane Society, & a $5 Refundable Bib Fee (Jrs are exempt from paying the User Fee).

Bib / ISDRA Form Refund:  On Sunday, bibs & completed ISDRA Report Forms must be turned in after racing; $5 will be refunded to racer of each entry.
