Iron Fish Distillery Fat Chance is the staple of fat biking in Northern Michigan, and is back again for another legendary race at Crystal Mountain with new and familiar faces.

We're switching up our race this year and holding it on a new, fun course located at the new Cross-Country center near our summer driving range! The course will offer 360 degree viewing for spectators. The 90-minute race will have single sections to break up the pack and add some excitement to the race!  Helmets are required for rider safety.

REGISTRATION - OPENS NOVEMBER 12!
All registration includes chip timing, race bib, and a coupon for a post-ride beverage and chili or soup.

Early Bird Registration (November 12 - 27): $40 per rider.
Cost goes up to $50 beginning November 28, 2021. Day-of registration is not available.

Online registration will close at Noon on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 8am at the Cross-Country Learning Center, near our Tennis Courts on Mountain Center Road. Thank you! 

If the race is cancelled for any reasons related to COVID-19 restrictions, your registration fee will be deferred to 2023. No refunds.

CASH PRIZES, MEDALS & AWARDS
A cash prize and medal will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each 90-minute category. The top 3 finishers from each category of the 90-minute race will win a cash prize!  Plus there will be plenty of swag from Crystal Mountain, Iron Fish, Up Bike TC, KOLO TC and Kona Bikes. Awards, medals and swag can be picked up at the Park at Water's Edge on the day-of the race or will be mailed to racers.
