Sleeping Bear Marathon & Half Marathon

Marathon (26.2 miles) and Half Marathon (13.1 miles) runs in Empire, MI

Join us for a scenic marathon and half marathon in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Both races start and finish in Empire, MI. The out-and-back marathon course will take runners by the "Dune Climb", past Little Glen Lake, and through the village of Glen Arbor with breathtaking views of the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Dunes along the way. The half marathon will follow the same course as the marathon, turning around at the 6.5 mile mark. At the peak of fall color season, the tree-lined course will be one that both runners and spectators won't soon forget.  Online registration will close Wednesday night at 11:59 pm.  We'll have late registration available on Saturday from 5-8pm at the Empire Township Hall and 6:30-8:00am at the start/finish line on race morning.
