The 11th Annual Iron Fish Distillery Fat Chance Fat Tire Bike Race

We are celebrating 11 years of the Fat Chance, can you dig it!
Fat Chance is the staple of fat biking in Northern Michigan, and is back again for another legendary race at Crystal Mountain with new and familiar faces.

We return to the new course we featured last year at our new Cross-Country center. The course will offer 360 degree viewing for spectators. The 90-minute race will have single sections to break up the pack and add some excitement to the race!  Helmets are required for rider safety.

All races start at 10am.

Registration opens Saturday November 13th 2023
Early Bird pricing $40.00 Pre-registration November 13th thru November 27th 2023
Cost: $50 per rider. Includes chip timing, race bib and coupon for a post – ride beverage and chili or soup. Advanced registration ONLY – There will be no Day of registration.
Packet pick-up will be at Crystal Center starting Friday January 27th
Racers this year are asked to park in Lot L at the entrance to the resort to reduce congestion in our Skier Parking Lots, thank you!

Cash Prizes, Medals & Awards
A cash prize and medal will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each 90-minute category. The top 3 finishers from each category of the 90-minute race will win a cash prize! Plus there will be plenty of swag from Crystal Mountain, Iron fish, Up Bike TC, and Kona Bikes . Awards, medals and swag can be picked up at the Park At Waters Edge day-of or will be mailed to racers.
