To better incoorperate the 5K event within downtown Evart, the course has been changed to start and finish at the Evart Elementary School 515 N Cedar St Evart, MI.  Refreshments and music will be waiting for you at the finish line.  Support on the course will be provided by the Evart Police Dept., the Evart Fire Dept., and the Osceola County Civilian Emergency Response Team.

All finishers in the 5k walk will receive a deluxe finisher ribbon.  The 5k run medals will be awarded to places 1-3, male and female, in 5 year age groups (8 and under, 9-13, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over), and trophies to the overall male and female winners.  The overall winners will also earn a ride in the Evart Independence Day Parade.  All runners 8 and under receive a finisher medal.
The runner or walker wearing the best patriotic costume will receive a plaque.  A panel of judges will determine the costume winner. Awards can be picked up in the finish line tent shortly after the race. 

Entry before June 20th is $20 for adults, $10 for school age (0-18yrs).  A $5 late entry fee will be added on June 20th.  Online registration closes midnight June 30th.

Camera timing will be available.  Results will be available immediately after the race at the finish line and will be posted on the Evart July 4th 5k website (http://evartjuly4th5kwalkrun.weebly.com)  later that day.
