MUSH Sweetwater Challenge Sled Dog Race #1
February 4-5, 2023

LOCATION; Baldwin, Michigan 

• Drivers meeting: race site, 9:30am Saturday

• Race begins: 10:30am Saturday. Sunday start time TBA at race.

• Tentative class order: 7, 5, JR, 3-dog adult, Ski, Fun Run

Directions to race site: there is no physical address. It is a winter sports parking area. Please read carefully! Latitude: 43° 55’ 7.09” N Longitude: 85° 57’ 33.90” W

From Baldwin if you are headed SOUTH on M37:
There is a Shell Gas station at the intersection of US10 and M37. You can’t miss it.
From that Shell station, go south on M37(turn left out of Shell, aka turn left off US10 W onto M37 S) about one quarter mile to the Wesco gas station. This is the corner of 7th Street and M37. Turn West on 7th Street. (If you are headed South on M37, that will be a right.) Go five blocks to Cherry St. and turn left. Take an immediate right onto W. 52nd St. You will cross some railroad tracks. Follow 52nd for 2.5 miles. As 52nd curves to the left, Wingelton Rd will be a dirt road on your right. Veer right on to W. Wingleton. Once you veer onto W. Wingleton, it feels like a long way – keep going! It is 1 mile. Stay on Wingleton to the race site. THE RACE SITE WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT. DRIVE UNTIL YOU SEE DOG TRUCKS.

From Baldwin if you are headed NORTH on M37 in Baldwin:
If you are headed North on M37, turn West (left) at the Wesco station at the intersection of M37 and 7th street in Baldwin. If you are headed North on M37, Wesco will be BEFORE the Shell station and BEFORE US10. Turn at Wesco. Go five blocks to Cherry St. and turn left. Take immediate an right onto W. 52nd St. You will cross some rail road tracks. Follow 52nd for 2.5 miles. As 52nd curves to the left, Wingelton Rd will be a dirt road on your right. Veer right on to W. Wingleton. Once you veer onto W. Wingleton, it feels like a long way – keep going! It is 1 mile. Stay on Wingleton to the race site. THE RACE SITE WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT. DRIVE UNTIL YOU SEE DOG TRUCKS.

***PER MUSH RULES, ANYONE UNDER 18 MUST WEAR A HELMET WHILE SLED RACING.***
