Big Little Hero Race

Fun Run: 9:00 a.m. and 5K/10K 9:30 a.m. 

Location: NMC Main Campus - Health and Science Building

Cherryland Electric Co-op 5K • Stromber Carlson 10K • Pickle Print 1-Mile Fun Run

This is a superhero-themed race, coordinated by NMC's Professional Communications class! Please come wearing your favorite superhero costume. The Fun Run/obstacle course is free, and NMC's College for Kids are sponsoring the Fun Run, so that every child participating will receive a cape! After the event, join us in NMC's Health and Science Building for the awards ceremony, prizes, food for all 5K and 10K racers, and a carnival for kids of all ages. There will be face painting, balloon animals, games and more! All proceeds of this event benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan.

Every child needs a hero, and you can help us find them one, by racing in this super event. It is a chip timed race by, Endurance Evolution. The one-mile Fun Run starts at 9:00 a.m., the 5K and 10K start at 9:30 a.m. The race route winds around Northwestern Michigan College's Main Campus and proceed out on Old Mission Peninsula.

Awards Presented For:

• Top overall male/female finisher, 5K & 10K.
• Top three, in each age category, will be awarded medals.
• Best costume for: male, female, child, group and dog.

Age Categories:

• 14 & under male and female
• 15-19 male and female
• 20-29 male and female
• 30-39 male and female                
• 40-49 male and female
• 50-59 male and female
• 60-69 male and female
• 70 & up male and female 

Important Dates:

1. Register by March 11, to receive the early bird discounted rate ($5 off registration) 
2. Register by March 22, to secure your super awesome race shirt. Shirts are availible in both men's and women's sizes and are printed by our super sponsor: Pickle Print & Marketing
3. Packet pick-up will be held in NMC's Health and Science Building on Friday, April 17 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 18 (race day) from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
4. In-person registration will be held in NMC's Health and Science Building on Friday, April 17 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 18 (race day) from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
