Saturday morning from 7:30am - 8:30am at the Guinness Post Race Party Tent in the Warehouse District.
You won’t need the luck of the Irish to enjoy the National Cherry Festival’s 4th annual Fifth Third Bank Leapin’ Leprechaun St. Patty’s Day 5K foot race! Join us on Saturday, March 15th at 9:00am in Traverse City’s warehouse district and put on your GREEN! After your run, stay with us for the Guinness Post Race Party back at the tented start area.
Each racer will receive a commemorative t-shirt, accurate timing and results, medals for top finishers, prizes for best Irish costume, best canine Irish costume, a complimentary beverage (Guinness Beer for those 21 years of age and older - must present photo ID), and free entertainment by Billy Strings & Don Julin!
New this year - Dog Costume Contest! No dogs left at home! Don't forget to dress your dog in their Irish best and bring them with you on your run. Stick around and enter them in the first ever "Canine Costume Contest". We will award the the top dog (and their human) a prize!
Bring the Kids! Kids are invited to celebrate and get fit by running or walking in the Leapin’ Leprechaun 5K with Cherry Festival Royalty, National Cherry Queen Sonja Sayler. Each participant will receive a Special Edition ‘Running with Royalty’ tee shirt and cherry refreshments at the finish line. So dust off those running shoes and get to LEAPIN'!
5K Run - Awards ceremony will be held for Overall and Masters Male/Female in the 5K Run and top three age divisions. The 5K Walk is participatory, no awards will be presented. Medals will be available at the finish line until 11:00 a.m. and thereafter at the National Cherry Festival Office at 250 Front Street, Ste 301, Traverse City, MI 49684. No medals will be mailed.

March 1 - March 13, 2014 - Adult - $33; Kids 12 & Under: $25
March 14 & 15 - Adult $38; Kids 12 & Under: $25
Online Registration closes March 13th at 5:00 p.m.
Packet Pick-Up will be on March 14th from 3:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Espresso Bay 202 E Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684. Also there will be late Packet Pick-Up on Saturday March 15th from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at the event registration (close to the start line) in the Warehouse district.
Portion of proceeds to benefit the good works of the Cherry Festival Foundation and the Father Fred Foundation.

Please Note:
- Registrations are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Limited traffic access from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on race day.
- Weather conditions are unpredictable so dress appropriately.
- Walking the course is allowed. Strollers are permitted starting at the back of the race group.
- For the safety of all runners no rollerblades, wagons or wheeled objects allowed on the race course.
- Organizers reserve the right to cancel the race in the event of inclement weather. No refunds will be made.
- If you plan to bring your dog please keep them on a non-retractible leash and remember a doggie bag. Dogs will need to start in the back of the race group.
