Port Oneida Run/Walk August 5, 2023

1/2 Marathon, 10K , Flat and Fast 5K

Join us for the 11th Annual Port Oneida Run/walk fundraiser! Proceeds help preserve the historic buildings and landscapes of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and interpret the rich 19th century history in the area.

Choose your race between the Flat and Fast 5K, 10K and the 1/2 Marathon. Each course winds through the beautiful scenery of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore's Port Oneida Rural Historic District 3 miles north of Glen Arbor. With its historic farms and barns, Port Oneida is hailed as “one of the most prized historic landscapes in the country”! Afterwards, take a swim on the beautiful beaches down the road!

Enjoy chip timing, station hydration, unique awards and great edibles!

6:30 – 8:00 Packet pick up and walk-on registration

7:30 Kids Schoolhouse Dash1/4 mile and awards

8:00 Half marathon starts

8:15 10K

8:30 Flat and Fast 5K run/walk starts

COURSE - Races start and end at the farm's big red barn.

Kids Schoolhouse Dash - 1/4 mile round trip to the Port Oneida schoolhouse and back.

10K - a loop combination of trail running, gravel back roads, and a portion on Port Oneida road.

Flat and Fast 5K - not interested in hills? This flat course goes east on the Heritage trail pasing the Lawr Farm, Basch road, and turning around at Kelderhouse and Basch.. Strollers (this race only) are welcome!

Wave start to avoid crowding on the trail.

Animals - Dogs are permitted in the farmyard, and on the 5K but all must be on a leash.

Walk-ons welcome!

You must have a parent's signature on the form if you are under 18. Entries are nonrefundable and nontransferable. The race will take place rain or shine (but not lightening).

Packet pick up starts at 6:30 am the day of the race.

Age categories - Awards for overall male and female winners plus top 3 winners in 8 age groups! 12 and under; 13-19,20-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69, 70+

EVENT HAT

All runners registered will receive a super popular Quick Dri cap lightweight running hat with embroidered logo.

POST-RACE

Great food

Unique awards!

Kids will want a picture with our mascot Ida the cow!
