Thirst Mutilator Fat Bike Race

The season gets underway with a classic Northern Michigan circuit race at beautiful Timber Ridge Resort. Stringing together sections of the famous Fat Camp! loop of last year and new trails, the short-track style course is a thrill for racers and a spectator's delight! Racers will be treated to a fireside award ceremony in the Timber Ridge Lodge, complete with post-race refreshment from our series sponsor Short's Brewing Company.

It'll be a time to set the tone for the season, with former NMFBS champion Jorden Wakeley toeing the line against the likes of last year's winner Jason Lowetz, Craig Webb and dozens of other fat bike enthusiasts. The women's field is wide-open, with Beth Collins looking to play her hand across all four races and take home the points title, and some pretty sweet swag in the process.

The racing starts at high noon, with one hour and two hour races to choose from. Beginners and Sport riders will take on one hour of the course, starting right behind the two hour riders at 12pm sharp. Packet pick-up and day-of registration opens at 10am.
